LAMIJA SULJEVIC
Lamija Suljevic latest collection of images landed in my inbox the other day, she's one of the most gifted new generation of designers in Sweden today, her images immediately conjured up a cross between 1950's Indian film actresses adorned with traditional jewellery, and a Russian matroshka doll. Lamija is a Bosnian-born Swedish who may have been inspired by the Slavic tradition in her latest collection, as well as being inspired by her past and her passion for Parisian couture.
Each piece created by Lamija by an appointment in her studio in Stockholm are one off tasty pieces combining the intricate handy work of braiding, embroidery, pleating, and crochet. If your in and around New York between 3-7 March dawdle off to the New York Art Scope Exhibition, where Lamija will be showcasing her tasty pieces.
