The World's First Interactive Shoppable Music Video

26 Apr 2012

Folks at SSENSE have launched the first interactive shoppable music video! pretty cool huh! [though I heard ASOS did it first] All performers in the video of the premier 'I think she ready' were styled exclusively by SSENSE, where you can shop Iggy’s, FKi’s and Diplo’s looks using interactive hotspot technology from wireWAXAlthough viewers probably couldn't afford half of the clothes for sale including moi, the video is a tribute to high fashion and the next generation of shopping.

SSENSE CEO Rami Atallah explains, “This is the first time the worlds of music, fashion and commerce have truly overlapped. The integration we are introducing between technology, entertainment and retail with this video not only creates a unique experience for the audience, but also has utility. People often wonder what performers are wearing, where they can purchase that item – we have bridged that gap.”
You can use the exact same technology for free, if you as bloggers like to create make-up, diy video tutorials. There's a free package available at wireWAX though it's probably limited as subscription provides more, but I anticipate we'll be seeing alot more of taggable video tools soon.

Check out an older music post I created with an image taggable tool called Thinglink, they now charge for the service but it's a pretty neat tool.

The world's first wedding crasher phone app but BEWARE the wrath of the bridezilla !! includes dates and locations of nearby weddings, you can even complete tasks at the wedding like taking pictures. Earning points helps you get up the leader board nationally of wedding crashers using the app. DISCLAIMER : I'm not encouraging this ; )

2. TipOff App
Turn your iPhone into a early warning device. A motion-sensing app that detects when a door is opened, the TipOff app calls a number (supposedly your lover’s one) when a door is opened. Providing you a enough reaction time to make a quick escape through that window to escape without a sound, without a trace, without a sign.

Forget fretting about whether you heard a key in the lock or voices along the corridor. With TipOff, unexpected arrivals become little more than minor inconveniences. After all, there are some performances that aren’t improved by an audience.  TipOff

Monday Contraptions + TV ANTICS

10 Oct 2011

This is my first post yielded in October, I'm feeling conscience stricken for not having posted anything here for 10 days.. it's not for a lack of material - lord knows I wanted to bequeath on you MORE unusual shoes and whatever cockamamie trappings I usually post ~ I have a confession I never use the word 'lord' it just transpires when I write! tis why I minimize self ramblings, I come to realise whatever I type sounds nothing like me! There's my DAILY gab separated by my TYPING gab. But whichever gab it is today.. I decided to tentatively peck at my keyboard on this very Monday  So... Where do I begin?
.
Lately I've watched 'My Goldfish is Evil' yes I will outright declare I switch channels for this show! Unless you're under 13 or have younger; siblings nieces/nephews children of your own it is very LIKELY YOU may NOT have heard of this show.

I seem to be acquainted with my inner child and adore the concept of an evil criminal genius fish who can be quite witty versus his poor owner Beanie. Before you think I'm a votary of this show, just so you know I've watched 3 episodes in the span of couple of months, so it begs to differ why this made the forefront of this post!?

Probably a bit late for this one but anyways the show 'Cake Boss', what inventiveness of fondant magic used to concoct cray cray cakes, I like the family & team and the way they pull together when needed. My parents had a family business so I can relate to this show.

USEFUL APPS

1. Zoff Mirror featuring the well known Japanese model Kiko Mizuhara - try out the free app online!

2. Alarm clock app Okite posts embarrassing tweets to your Twitter feed, each time you hit snooze. - Available on iPhones

After the alarm goes off in the morning, the app send out tweets, such as “dressed as a sailor now” and “not enough talented people like me in the world”, whenever users hit the snooze button.

Okite, which means “wake up” in Japanese, is a free app that discourages users from sleeping in, developed by Japanese company Eureka. Sadly though this isn't localized in English! I could really do with this.. If this is not incentive to wake up, I’m not sure what is!

{GADGET's} Camera Garçonniere

10 Mar 2011

PUT A RING ON IT
The most thrilling feature of SLR photography is the interchangeability of lenses. Albeit I've only ever purchased one certain lens because they cost a pretty penny or two. It's a pretty expensive side leisure, especially when it's one avocation out of many hobbies. Regardless, I'm a stooge for gadgets, even if the gadget in question is never put to use and toyed with. But the above gadget -The Ring Flash Adapter comes at $40 which could turn your amateur flash into a pro. The reflective circle that attaches to the front of your external flash. It requires no batteries or cords because it uses the flash you already have.  Not bad huh?

Be led by your dreams

Beseech the bizarrity of the LED eyelashes, Designed by artist Soomi Park, most innovative false eyelash tint, the light-up LEDs come on and off at your will, you can turn the lashes on or off by tilting your head. Something very sci-fi Cosplay. How exciting!! I could envisage at night a whole street load of mini white bright lights sauntering around, I probably wouldn't buy one but I am always drawn to the bizarre and unusual!
