FOOTWEAR COLLECTION FOR PAYLESS

In all reality catwalk lines of the latest savour faire on show is mostly likely not affordable by the vast majority, and I'm certainly included in that category, however I enjoy picking ideas from catwalk shows and rummaging the vintage or high street stores for that similar recreation.

Per contra while they look pricey Christian Siriano's footwear collection below can be brought at Payless soon from the price range of $60. Now isn't that Acapulco Gold!?

Caged Sandals • Snakeskin Leather • Structural Heel

New York Fashion Week SS11 • Frank Tell • Raphael Young

Array of de-constructed draped asymmetric web knits, inspired by a wall inset in the Musée du quai Branly.

These wedge shoes were by Raphael Young for the Frank Tell collection, which brings together the pale mint moss and ivy looking knit dresses and leather trousers bringing some serious height. Supposedly the wedges are inspired by Star Trek. Graduate of Starfleet Academy.....

JEREMY SCOTT FALL 2010/11

Strong catchy golden beats, I can always expect J.Scott to bring jewel encrusted, glitzy clothing, you just can tell that Jeremy has fun with his designs. The higher the hair, the closer to heaven it would seem. It’s always a hoopla to add something a little eccentric and quirky to your wardrobe, and that is exactly what this collection brings.

Doctor Frame shaped handbag's are a weak spot of mine, they make for a timeless classic ladylike look. I own two doctor frame shaped handbags by Valentino, and when one needs to feel more of a sophisticated contessa, I choose and take my Valentino handbag with me. The Anna Sui bags below would add to my collection, but I know really the two handbags I have are enough, but the golden embroidered brown bag below is still very tasty to look at.

New York Fashion Week all wrapped up today, and I have yet to have a look see on all the collections so far this time round, I will probably savour them for when I have a few moments. Its always fun to match some of the runway style to the high street and boutiques. I know some can feel runway couture is unattainable, I use them as inspiration and I think its good for the soul to dream of unattainable amazing items, although indeed at times can feel like torture!

New York Fashion Week Fall 2010

12 Feb 2010

New York fashion week kicked off yesterday with BCBG Max Azria and L.A.M.B, under the unusual circumstances of the news of Alexander McQueen. I can imagine there being an peculiar subdued mood going around New York Fashion Week at the moment. But I'm sure the fashion industry will embrace the pain and burn it as fuel for a journey of creativity, for love is immortal.

Colour blocking was a big feature with blacks appearing next to the odd pastel. Maybe not the most exciting collection but a very wearable collection nonetheless.

Christian Siriano's new collection is the one I am looking forward to today.

ThreeasFour & Yoko Ono SS 10

three-dimensional curlicues of horsehair

The threeasfour & Yoko Ono runway show was an ahoy way of ending the New York Fashion Week, and what is even more alluring about this collection it does damage limitations to your purses/wallets.Usually, ThreeAsFour items retail for around $1,000, but this collaboration will have price points ranging from $111 to $888! now that is Eat Foam excitement.

Rodarte SS10

Laura and Kate- They aged, painted, burned, shredded, sandpapered, and otherwise destroyed all of the materials including grungy scraps of plaid, plastic, cheesecloth, wool cobweb, crystals, macramé, leather, and more until they reached complete originality. I loved the omokuso brilliant mesh of colour and texture and print, amazing leather work. crochet and tulle, with the radioactive backdrop. Along with providing a dark sullen vibe but still with gentle romantic fluidity.

Robert Geller SS10 New York

14 Sept 2009

Romantic.Soft.Poetic.German Men.Tonic Sheen.Sky

Hypnotic Blues- The root of inspiration, for this Robert Gellar collection on the New York fashion week runway was German men after war. Geller felt he wanted to conjure up hope and optimism as a remedy for hard times and to give hope for something better after years of war and hardship, against a backdrop of flowers, greenery, foliage and fruit created by florist Zinna Christopher.

What leaps out of this collection is the stylish colour pallet. The lovely colour palette of Blues, cobalt, electrifying aqua and purples.Looking poetic decay, along with the bow-ties.
