Le Whif

Chocolate Inhaler Mint chocolate.Raspberry chocolate.Mango chocolate.Plain chocolate

Came across this by a friend I was having Coffee with, for a second there I thought she was going to apply some lipstick, and she said "nope, its a chocolcate inhalent". I thought yep, I'm not suprised seeing as she is always purchasing acquiring unusual interesting items, a woman after my own heart. This chocolate inhalent is called the Le Whif. Le Whif is a new way of eating chocolate - by breathing it! Le Whif is supposed to be a terrific way to curb your appetite or to accompany a coffee, and Harvard proffessor Edwards says

"Inhaled chocolate is just the beginning. Over the centuries we've been eating smaller and smaller quantities at shorter and shorter intervals. It seemed to us that eating was tending toward breathing, so, with a mix of culinary art and aerosol science, we've helped move eating habits to their logical conclusion. We call it whiffing."

New culinary innovations that involve eating by breathing are being developed by the Foodlab, at Edwards' art and science innovation center in central Paris.

It comes in four flavors: mint chocolate, raspberry chocolate, mango chocolate, and plain chocolate. I wonder what we will be inhaling next? My hyena sibling suggested Pizza! Now that just doesnt sound appetising.

Tsumori Chisato AW 09-10

Whimsical.Stars.Skyline.Manga.Capes.Energetic.Vibrant

Tsumori Chisato is one of my best loved designers, she manages to inject 101 facets to each collection, with a fiesta of whimsical prints and vibrant colours and style. A quick lineage, for those of you who don’t know her, Tsumori Chisato studied at Tokyo’s Bunka College and worked for Issey Miyake before starting her own brand in the 1990s.

For A/W 2009-2010, Tsumori Chisato is showing us the skies and skylines as she sees them. Her inspiration comes from the views from her windows and as seen in the Australian skies. Her collection is a feast of Rounded collars, oversized capes and shapes that unfold in the shape of the half-moon came in colourful prints and adorned with sparkling sequins and manga styled. Circus inspired elements also featured heavily, making this collection one of the most fun and energetic. Some may feel there are too many elements applied in one collection, but this is one of the expects that appeal to my inner hyena. I can concentrate on one aspect of the outfits or look at it as a whole. I can never tire looking at this collection, it has so many dynamics to it.

The Fashion of Clowning AW 09

What I fervor about Pepper and Pistol is, each collection is based on theme, often on a mythical story, which has a quirky look and feel to it. There latest range ‘Fashion of Clowning’ is no exception, based on a Circus theme. It combines fun graphic prints and color with light materials and feminine shapes.

Autumn/Winter 09 collection

Argentinian label Complot has added some new lines to their autumn / winter collection.
The collection puts together a lime street style, with plenty of bright patterns, high-waisted,
patterned skirt, tartan, leather, acid wash denim and heavy boots. The collection doesnt bring
au corant to the table, but I do like there clothes.

Summer 09 Collection
I also added the Summer Collection due to I am still clamouring to the fact there should be another 2-3 weeks of good summer weather.

Omelle SS09 Shoe Line

The spring 2009 debut collection for a new shoe brand called Omelle, its a painful thought not having these trophies as a addition to the hyena shoe collection. Omelle shoes developed from a collaboration between Cherise Angelle and Nicole Lafave. I like the detail thats been put together when designing these shoes, the materials compliment so well and the element of the heel. There’s even been consideration put into the shoe box, instead of tissue paper to pad the shoes, a cute bow bag is included with every shoe purchase. These glish shoes can be purchased at the Omelle site.
