G-DRAGON & TOP Duple Combo

13 Jan 2011

> Now I don't usually pander to the "look this celeb is wearing so and so" but I make an exception for South Korea's music artists G-Dragon and TOP. Both appear pioneering their distinct style and spirit, galvanized by their love of music, raiment design and moreover interior design for TOP. This is not the first time G-Dragon has featured on this blog, though it is for TOP, also known as T.O.P. ~ ~ The photo's below are from their new duo album jacket, which non coincidentally I'm currently listening too. Just in-case you cant distinguish from the two, the first photo is of G-Dragon.
Instantology White Tux Jacket with White Satin Lapel & Instantology custom-made suit Black Velvet Tux With Satin Lapel finished off with Christian Louboutin Rollerball Loafers. The fur hat is my highlight.

Shower Curtain Convert?

> I have actual antipathy towards shower curtains, thankfully I have a shower door, but I just find them unhygienic and I dread the horrible moment when they stick to you, whilst having a shower. So bewilderingly enough what do I stumble upon..?  Designer Jane Bowler creating a new spin on rain-coats using re-cycled plastics including shower curtains. Jane uses outlandish indecorous items to inspire her to create innovative and desirable items.

Serious rain protection from this faux mo-hawk coloured glossy head piece, most likely to cause dancing in the rain.
Jane brings "longevity to materials, which come from a London post-use scrap facility, transforming plastics from old bath mats and shower curtains" into witty fashion pieces.
Innovative collection and concept, though it still wont ease my antipathy towards shower curtains an inch.

Dolly Mixtures cube cylinder multi fondant shapes

Dolly mixtures were packets of my childhood, but NOW citizens, these would be paradisiac for my Twenties Spring and Summer's. Just glancing at these, ~extracts me out of the current dull and dreary season. I pine for some sunshine and aurora.  Have a look-see at the rest of Fentons&Fallon accessories, there's far too many to ardor. // thanks to Frizzi Frizzi.

Protest via 4th Amendment Underwear

Now there's a way to protest those intrusive TSA AIRPORT X-ray Body scanners without saying a word.

Before I begin, I'm not going to hide my stance on TSA body scanners! I have concerns that frequent exposure to TSA-operated scanner devices may carry health risks, such as exposure to radiation that may increase the risk of cancers and other health issues. Scanners have not been in operation long enough for an effective study to be performed.-

My second qualm is the invasive body scans, which certainly don't leave much to the imagination- raising further concerns relating to individual's right to privacy - one that has been increasingly threatened since terrorism became a more immediate problem in recent years. I realise striking the right balance between security and privacy, is a complex affair, though for me personally the balance has been tipped towards security. ~ Though I don't resent those who feel at ease travelling via TSA scanner devices.

4th AMENDMENT METALLIC INK-PRINTED UNDERGARMENTS

The Fourth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, meant to prevent unwarranted search and seizure, is readable on TSA body scanners.

The concept behind 4th Amendment Wear is simple: to get a few people to think a little more about their constitutional rights. The creators behind these 4th Amendment undergarments said-
"It all started when we removed our shoes to go through an X-ray scanner. What a great canvas the top of a pair of socks are - a place to make a statement about the hassles we have to go through to be safe. So printing the 4th amendment on them seemed like a nice way to make a statement - without being a pain in the ass to the already harrowed TSA employees. In fact, many of us approve of and willingly undergo the airport security protocols. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't question whether it's the very best solution."

Heroic Hats & PALM TREE HAIR

Swell Palm tree hair and funkdafied hats... Jan Taminiau is a romanticist at heart, cultivating individualism, reverence to the natural world, physical and emotional passion through his garments. This line percolates delicate feminine concept for those ladies who arent afraid to be bold and utterly charming. Taminiau comes from a family of antique dealers, decorators and designers. This could form the basis for his love of fabric and technology, and continuation of being inspired by the romantic and nostalgic aspects of life.

Jan Taminiau, portrays craftsmanship and attention to detail, with the creation of large heroic hats and horse-tail ponytails and a smatter of embellishments, topped off with point shoulders and signature shoes.

I would feel like a ♛ contempo cinderella ♛ in one of these gowns, the romanticist in me is seeping out.

Photo Drama: True Grit : The Fighter : 127 Hours

Since I often watch several movies a week, I decided, why not share some movie drama, on this blog. I screen-shot the latest movies I've watched over the past week. I'd thoroughly recommend to watch all three, if you can! Out of the three I was most surprised with "True Grit" in a positive way.  I found 127 Hours to be a fantastic triumph of the human spirit, and I didn't expect "The Fighter" to be as amusing as it was......Next on the list is Black Swan.  Did you keep your eyes open for 127 Hours!

Studded Shoe monster rears it's head again, except it's welcomed to my humble abode!

The studded detail is prominent throughout the design and makes the boot stand out.

Noise Magazine- Colour Co-Ordinates

U.S fashion photographer Teneshia Carr- delivers in tandem with stylist and art director Max Souffriau to deliver a striking avant-garde fashion take for the latest issue of Noise magazine. Displaying, four separate arbitrary hands, two of the gold manikin kind with matching bump bag or as the U.S say, fanny pack! - with matching mini hanging figurines hanging on for their lives. Tasty styling sweeping through with added rib cage top and mesh. Though the muses face is marginally bizarre, but remember-able.
