There Came A Pause

29 Mar 2010

Nathalie van Wageningen
There came a pause, a hiatus longer than I expected!..My inevitable tardiness came into the fray. Beginning ish of March turned into End of March. Mostly work, some holiday. In the middle of it all, I kept writing in my head, but none of it made its way to my blog.

Thank you for all the comments and to the emails I received :) I genuinely really appreciate them, and now having some time away from this blog, I realised It’s just kind of become one of those things, I'm a private person ....then why do I blog? I must be a masochist! right, I am always pushing myself to dragoon this blog to be more personal. And I'm going to be working on it :)

Starting From Now- I thought I'll share with you a few things since on hiatus concerning this blog, I was kindly invited to participate in a Reebok EasyTone trial, many women bloggers apart from myself have been invited to be apart of their campaign, by receiving EasyTone shoes and reviewing them as a product. Apparently these trainers are supposed to improve the muscle tone in the hamstrings, calves and glutes. It's probably a good incentive to test these out and at least get a good workout in the process.

Look forward to sharing some new tasty collections, I received via email, and maybe some guest blogging here and there.

I'm taking in the aroma of fresh slightly wet cut grass, while I type, Spring seems to be in the air, chocolate bunnies around the corner, longer days of sunshine and rooftop bars and maybe just a few more additional new items to the wardrobe. I'm zipped up, to get some funkdafied inspiration from the usual blogging haunts.

Oh and even with the long hiatus, I have still not got round to watching Alice in Wonderland...

Hope your all well, Mucho Love to Readers, Lurkers, Anons.

I am off on a self-imposed brief hiatus :) I will return in the beginning ish of March. Note to self I try to use my Canon DSLR camera to take some snaps of slapdash of bits-and-pieces, I know I don't say this often enough, but your contribution emails comments are very mucho appreciated and I thank you for taking your time to write something and to even lurke anonymously, something I do plenty on many other blogs.

Well friends..... Take Care Love xx

Tumblr PS I made this

22 Feb 2010

While thumb through wandering online, I found Tumblr to be a free wheeling and less commitment minded place, with oodles of constant inspiration without the titles and comments form. So on a whim I decided to join, as a side project by creating the odd post on a impulse..but prime of all I get to appreciate some of the creative cream of Tumblr. That is when I came across PS I made this, a do-it-yourself blog giving readers ideas for DIY projects, she makes everything look so easy to recreate....

P.S. - I Made This...

is a movement.
It’s a call to action to re-imagine, re-use, and re-invent.
I see it.     I like it.     I make it.

Louise Goldin + David Koma + House of Holland Runway FW 10.11

London Fashion Week is in full swing and what I always look forward to at L F W, is the energy and vibe from the young people of London, a mixture of eclectic and glamorous styles.

LOUISE GOLDIN
All these things set my toes a-tapping, the blend of military & Robot, the insanely gorgeous architectural shapes, and the palette and textures. the air of excitement could have come out of my very nose!
The architectural sculpted tailored coats in this collection are the most acapulco, but I wasn't able to share and post those photos for you, due to my Photoshop software seems to be playing up, maybe Photoshop, itself got dizzy seeing those images.....I don't know!?...but will post them sometime later on. For now you can have glance over at The Fashion Spot

JEREMY SCOTT FALL 2010/11

Strong catchy golden beats, I can always expect J.Scott to bring jewel encrusted, glitzy clothing, you just can tell that Jeremy has fun with his designs. The higher the hair, the closer to heaven it would seem. It’s always a hoopla to add something a little eccentric and quirky to your wardrobe, and that is exactly what this collection brings.

Doctor Frame shaped handbag's are a weak spot of mine, they make for a timeless classic ladylike look. I own two doctor frame shaped handbags by Valentino, and when one needs to feel more of a sophisticated contessa, I choose and take my Valentino handbag with me. The Anna Sui bags below would add to my collection, but I know really the two handbags I have are enough, but the golden embroidered brown bag below is still very tasty to look at.

New York Fashion Week all wrapped up today, and I have yet to have a look see on all the collections so far this time round, I will probably savour them for when I have a few moments. Its always fun to match some of the runway style to the high street and boutiques. I know some can feel runway couture is unattainable, I use them as inspiration and I think its good for the soul to dream of unattainable amazing items, although indeed at times can feel like torture!
