I'm toting some link love ablution to this Monday, after savoring the weekend's clay court tennis action as a spectator, I can't play tennis to save my life, but I do like a good game of Wii Tennis, howbeit the Wii console has been gathering dust for yonks.. How was your weekend folks ? The aforesaid link love is my perfect alibi to continually dragoon my web window shopping. Add them to your bookmarks if you fancy.

Michael Kors – Leather Collection

6 Jun 2013

Michael Kors is a name synonymous with women’s designer watches. A MK watch is one know for its styles, design and excellence. I am sure many women out there will have pondered about a Michael Kors watch at some point, of course those who have them in their possession will be donning them on the wrists and staring dotingly at theirs right now.

The latest range of MK watches sees a fresh look – leather. The usual bracelet style has been swapped for a leather strap and some summery colours to go with the new look too. The new collection from this high end designer is ideal for the summer season and offers a different style for those who aren’t a fan of the usual chunky bracelet strap, often seen on MK watches.

For a peek at the stylish Michael Kors Leather collection, check out the below timepieces.
So do you like the new style of Michael Kors watches? Do you think you will be treating yourself to one? These new looks are ideal for summer style and will look perfect with any summery outfits you are planning to wear this season.

Sports Luxe Shoe Wedge

4 Jun 2013

My aching feet and paws usually drag across floors, making toilsome work of it. I think most of you would agree that the trainer/sneaker wedges have been a manna from heaven to the feet. I DESIRED the sneaker wedge equivalent for the summer, to team them up with sport chic outfits including luxe sweatshirts, varsity tee's, loose jersey trousers, shorts and skirts. After yonks squandered surfing aimlessly through my usual online jaunts.. I stumbled across the ideal pair and bought them in black. I'm now opting to buy them in WHITE as they are super comfy to schlepp around in.

Study Space-Saver

29 May 2013

I made a schedule I made a plan, to wave high those feather dusters and paint rollers to squeeze in a little late spring cleaning. I vowed that all household clutter be banned. I've had enough of the paint fumes and magnolia and moved on to the attic and study, which is filled to the brim with unwanted and unused CD's and DVD's from way back to my early teens. Once I decided to rummage through the CD's, a mini karaoke session transpired, minus the mic and some muddled lyrics, there was plenty of nostalgia going back to those good old days, but I can't use all these CD's as tea coasters...particularly since I don't drink tea!

Music Magpie - Trade in your CD's and DVD's

I'm hoping my junk is someones else's treasure.. but listing each CD on eBay is a pain in the butt and car boot sales generate little profit! so I was gonna drop them all off at my local charity shop where I've handed my old bike yesterday. Then it occurred to me that I could sell stuff for cash elsewhere and Music Magpie seemed the most convenient to me. They could take my Cd's and DVDs off my hands immediately and I know I'll get a little spending money in return.

I scanned the bar-code of my DVDs and CD's for a price valuation with my phone and found they wanted largely music albums which suited me fine since I had far too many. Feels pretty liberating once it was done, a space-saver, Sending your items to Music Magpie is free. You can either use free-post labels or arrange for a courier to collect them for free.

Whilst I was on the verge of sending my CD's and DVD's to Music Magpie, irony would have it I received an email from Music Magpie for a sponsored post. Which killed 2 birds with one stone, but not a Magpie! I hope to use the cash to: wait for it...buy a new can of paint! yup, another 3 rooms to go including the skirting boards..good times!

Snapshots No.14 : Neon + Transparent + Holographic

19 May 2013

01 // 02 // 03 // 04 //

A Sunday morning snapshot of items I've been eyeing up this past week, I had just missed out on the sold out neon transparent sandals above, they're a steal for the price. Nasty gal currently have a tasty bunch of Lucite shoes, but I feel more safer and comfortable donning flat-form perspex heel shoes, than a thin perspex wedge heel, like the MARGIELA H&M invisible wedge.

I've got Summer accessories on my mindbut a waste of endeavor maybe...as Summers in England for the past few years have been wet and cold, it's a pure mood killer. I prefer going overseas in Autumn or Winter to avoid the cold for a a few weeks but jeeeeez, I'm tempted to do the same for the Summer too! I actually find it tough going in the heat, but it has to beat the absence of sun and vitamin D

Saturday Playlist : May Red Dickie bow

11 May 2013

Holy May Moly - I better get a move on this month, I skipped last months playlist, bad blog practice struck once again. Music posts give me an excuse to search for some fresh new tracks, otherwise I'd be rinse + repeating the same old songs like groundhog day. I don't know about you, but usually by the end of the week I'm bemoaning my song alarm wake-up call.

Can any song be immune to sounding unpleasant at 7 in the morning ?   Original image courtesy of Anna Bodnar

Snapshots No.13 : Neoprene + Scuba

9 Apr 2013

01 // 02 // 03 // 04 // 05 // 06 // 07 // 08

Life moves on in its neoprene road, albeit I'm rewinding back to the moment when my sister and I, owned matching neoprene black biker jackets with silver striped arms during high school. There was nothing back then anything remotely like these jackets, I haven't a clue what an earth possessed us to buy them, I think I should ACCUSE my mum who paid for them, but yeah! we wore them from time to time..but note not on the same day!

It never occurred to me that these jackets were made out of neoprene material. Never did I fathom the sort of fabrics I wore, the terminology alone would be like a dull science lesson, I'm still apathetic today with textile fashion terminology.  But I was partially aware....I THINK! the jacket had a scuba diving look & feel to it.

Alas, never was it worn once again after entering College at 16. Hmmm I'm sorta nostalgic & disappointed that we got rid of them, though I don't recall when and how, but in hindsight it was probably a blessing. ~ I'm pinky promising, I will don the neoprene once again !

Milan Fashion Week AW13

26 Mar 2013

I like to think I embrace Milan for it's maximalism and kitsch splendour, despite preferring to believe I'm more of a minimalist at heart, but as the beholder of my inclinations and whims, nothing I do fits in a neat box, I like to champion the simplicity as well as the elaborateness, and Milan can do opulence and elaborateness irreproachably.
○ Trussardi
Spiffy pony hair tote accessories
○ Moschino
Red + Black dominated the collection with a round of tartan and plaid. Equestrian chic, charming head-wear and emblem motifs with the leather accessory bags.
○ DSquared2

If I choose a theme for a fancy dress event, this speakeasy Jazz Club scene would be right at the top of my list, a forties fantasy fling, bringing extravagant accessories to the fore.
○ Gabriele Conlangelo

London Fashion Week AW13 : Details Part 2

○ Simone Rocha

Continuing the transparent-tastic heels.
○ Holly Fulton

Tessellated lipstick prints and geometric art deco shapes. There ain't no party like a Holly Fulton print-party.
