Aliens have landed - at the movies, in my dreams and on this runway but you don't have to worry they come in peace and in the name of Jen Kao, take your pick! Kao names these Technicolor prints the 'aerial planetary views'. Silks, jerseys, metallics and fringe with shimmery silver leggings a colossus platform wedge moon boots balancing the dresses in it's might.

Hey kind reader!

You're maybe wondering why it's been a few week and there's no post's about something absolutely off odd ball. But I've got an uber good reason--I promise. And I also promise to tell you all about it...some other time...honest! I tell you what though, I've been bookmarking all the little swell and dandy contraptions and habiliments over these last few weeks, and I'm itching to post these....there's a crush of new Fall 2011 collections exhibited at the New York, London, Italy Fashion Week I'm craving to share with you, though I know for now, I'm gonna have to pace myself! And todays, my mothers Birthday, which is why I've posted an old vintage photo of her - as-well as Bonjour Paris Fashion Week! oh là là [yep french isn't my thang!]

She wont be happy to find out that I dug up this old photo from the photo album! But there's something about the coloring of this vinatge photo which I adore, as well as my mothers simplicity and innocence before migrating to England.

If you're anything like me, when every year ~ Valentine's Day loom's, you end up, reflecting whether 14th Feb is a commercial hype? or opportunity to celebrate romance? It's that special day when chocolate manufacturers and greetings card companies encourage you to demonstrate the extent of your affection, in a somewhat crass cold mercenary air. The notion of offering a note/greeting to the one you may love or pursue used to be captivating, Masses readily expect flowers, chocolates, fancy restaurants and jewelery. Since sadly everybody will try to execute slight variants of the same plan.

Choose something different, personalize your V Day! and Hey if you don't want to shell out a bankroll, my usual way to conquer it all ... is to carouse Valentine's Day by prohibiting any large currency spent for Valentine's Day. I call it 'DESTITUTE lovers' molding it as quixotic as possible.

Photographs of bloggers, alone, illuminated by computer screen~ sounds kind off elementary for a photo project! Howbeit, Gabriela Herman's photo's, bring a milieu of intimacy, by exhibiting body-language atmospheric physical workspace's created either permanent or temporary by the blogger. It's fascinating to see from these portraits, solitary actions of bloggers alone in the dark illuminated by the computer screens, acting out their thought process via either solitary body stances or tranquilizing postures.

I can't imagine I look too indifferent to these bloggers above, though I can safely say, I've blogged fully clothed thus far! not in my underwear like Ruben-natal from above ^^, that is if he is wearing anything under there! ~ It has only occurred to me that food bloggers, would have to make frequent trips to the fridge, entailing that exact ingredient.

60-70's Inspired Spring Blooms Cold doth not sting

Warm late sixties- seventies hues, driving you're parents nostalgic all over again- though amalgamating new modern sensibilities. The shoes are sublimely designed by Alejandro Ingelmo. The punchy prints and feminine skirts and cardigans make perfect attire for residing at a beach house ~ howbeit a tree house is more the likely in my case.
