DUNJA SESELJA
I didn't expect to find these teeming shoes, whilst mooching around on deviant-art, these engaging shoes were created by Dunja Seselja whom Is currently accomplishing her PhD in Philosophy of Science at Ghent University in Belgium, it seems Owl Shoes, Flash Shoes and Silver Helmet Shoes are not her only forte in life and in addition these shoes are cruelty-free vegan footwear.

Born in 1979, Sacha Rovinski, as a present for his eighth birthday, received a small Super 8 film camera. This is how everything began for him, he discovers that this camera enables him to capture both images and moments onto miles and miles of film, much to his parents’ displeasure. Capturing here called steampunk, some eye sparkling jewellery, mouth stopping magnality and safety pin hérissé.

Sonny Vandevelde

BACKSTAGE CATWALK BAISEMAIN

For those of you, who may or may not been aware, plenty of my photographic sources are from Sonny Vandevelde's fantastic collection of backstage catwalk photos, and his exhibition opened backstage in Melbourne as part of the L'oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and for those who missed my previous post on Sonny Vandevelde.
Janet Burns quoted from the Sydney Herald, about Vandevelde whom 'doesn't work at the sleek, neat, choreographed end of the catwalk where models pause and pose prettily before twisting away, job done. He works at the other end, the "wrong" end, behind the catwalk's scenes, in the cacophonous storm that rages at the back of a fashion show's relative calm. He shoots amid the racket and chaos of a hundred or more models, make-up artists, hairdressers, stylists, dressers, designers and assistants, all hell-bent on their part in producing those perfect moments at the "right" end of the catwalk.
I every so often, don't embargo a same feel of an outfit just via looking through the catwalk photos. The photo's Sonny captures behind the scenes, brings out a more personal aura of an outfit and focuses more on the personality of models whom are often seen smiling backstage, providing energy to the photos and letting the personalities of the models shine through.

And what I like about Sonny Vandevelde is that he seems to have a dedicated relentless ethos with 'surfer dude' free spirited approach of making backstage models feel at ease, in order for us to see more natural photo's of the models being themselves, and it would be fascinating to see Sonny receive more creative control whether it may be on an editorial or backstage arena.

HAIR CABOCHON
// Photographed Ryan Ayash // Styling Nadia Pizzimenti // Muse Irina F.

The tasty headpiece above reminds me, I need to searching for a unique head piece of jewellery to wear to a wedding in June, the search is on! and I think I may start browsing  on Etsy, and  I nearly forgot to mention, I have had some comments and an email wondering about the wall decorations on the photos I have taken. On the photos shown, they are both wall decals I brought from a French online store called Acte Deco, one of the reason I ordered from them is, they can customise wall decals for you and you can request what style design colour you prefer.

Anyway hope you all have a Scintilla of a Sunday! Much Love to you all..........

Tiny Tribute to Alexander McQueen

15 Apr 2010

It's still very sad, to think of Alexander McQueen's tragic demise, but I wanted to share with you all my white and gold Alexander McQueen coat I purchased back in 2004 during my uni days. This is still currently one of my favourite items in my wardrobe today. (Although I still need to wear it more often!) Slap on the wrist time It has this detailing in a gold piping and small eyelets with strings conjoining the top bodice and bottom bodice together, with a showing of scattering pieces of lace strings.

I thought I'll take a few snap shots of my muse Jou Jou Hyena wearing the coat, note it is probably more of a closer fit to myself, due to being slightly bigger than on my sister, and I thought I'll team the coat up with some new white wedges I requested from a friend of mine from Tokyo.

South Korean Kalamkari

LEE HYORI H-Logic Album
South Korean artist Lee Hyori has revealed new fashion magazine styled photos for her H-Logic Album Jacket, seen with a funkdafied street chic with a comprisal of clowns, so giving you a slight tip off and for those who have a slight Clown Phobia. The movie 'IT' with the evil clown was somewhat a disturbing watch as a kid, but I have met some lovely clowns from a lively circus since then, but I wont lie, even though I have no clown phobia whatsoever, I can fathom there is something that can be quite sinister about clowns.

MAGDA MACHAJSKA
I careened across this portfolio by designer Magda Machajska, who is a Senior year student at Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland, Department of Architecture and Design. Magda has participated in international exchange scholarships twice through the Technical University of Athens and Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, and she believes in design as a way of thinking and medium to bring together many different disciplines of creativity. Magda also has a penchant for art and illustrations and it would seem creating interesting structural shaped lines to her designs.

Styling: Red Mil
Grooming: Hanna Pechon

Talented Photographer Rxandy Capinpin from Manilla Philippines who works with many interesting designers to capturing here, unique shoulder caged accessory items by Designer Dax Bayani who is also based in Manilla and thrives in creating unique structural and symmetrical couture piecesFashion has always been a natural inclination for designer Dax Bayani, with his family running a garment manufacturing and exporting company since he was a child. Dax Bayani says
I am a very conceptual designer. I want my clothes to tell a story and to make sense. I tend to think a lot before producing a certain garment just to make sure it’s unique. I spend a lot of time interpreting my inspiration and editing it by giving or taking a few key elements before producing the final garment.
I look forward to scoping Dax Bayani's future designs,  as he does seem to bring individual creativity to his designs.
